Considering Kingston Road is a key route that leads into New Malden and Wimbledon, it experiences a high level of passing vehicles throughout the day which subsequently, contributes to high levels of noise and air pollution in the area.

The proposal seeks to mitigate this and the scheme has been designed to integrate environmental sustainability through the introduction of green features and passive solar design. Balconies, winter gardens and terraces will be incorporated throughout the development, reducing the impact of noise and air pollution from Kingston Road.

Appropriate landscaping and urban greening will also be introduced to not only ensure biodiversity thrives in the area, but also to improve the street’s attractiveness.

The roof will be shared between an intensive green roof and photovoltaics panels which will take full advantage of the south facing aspect of the roof to help produce energy.
